Silvia A. Carretta is Chief Legal Officer of 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐈, a global do-tank working towards gender-inclusive AI.

As a scholar-practitioner, Silvia is also pursuing a joint doctoral degree in AI & law at 𝐔𝐩𝐩𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 and at the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program - Humanities and Society Graduate School (Sweden). She is affiliated with the Information Law Institute at 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 and has been a Visiting Fellow at 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 (USA).
